About the LHS Strolling Strings
The LHS Strolling Strings were founded in 1991 by Sue Rolá, who guided the group until her retirement in 2014. Under Mrs. Rolá's direction, the group performed around the St. Louis area and travelled to a variety of cities including: Orlando, FL; Branson, MO; Memphis, TN; Chicago, IL; Nashville, TN; New York; NY, Louisville, KY; Washington DC and many more.
Strolling Strings has had the honor of performing at numerous National Strolling Strings Conventions, and was recognized by Missouri Governor Matt Blunt in 2007 for its performance at the National Festival of States in Washington D.C. Now under Ms. Tara Kizer's direction, the group's repertoire will continue to evolve with an emphasis on melding various musical styles. The future of the group promises to be fruitful and exciting. Kizer, a former Lindbergh graduate and Stroller herself, is taking the group to new heights! |
